The Oxtrac Low-Impact Skidder
KBM Resources Group is the regional distributor (Ontario, Minnesota, and northern
Wisconsin) for Oxtrac, the low-impact skidder from Tremzac. Versatile, lightweight, and cost efficient, the Oxtrac is ideal for smaller operations or for getting into hard-to-reach areas in remote locations.
Easy to Operate
This rubber-tracked skidder can get into places that traditional skidders can’t, yet is capable of pulling loads up to 16,000 lbs. It is particularly useful for work in environmentally sensitive areas, with a ground disturbance rated at a maximum ground pressure of 4.9 PSI. The skidder itself is as “green” as you can get, with a fuel consumption of just 3.8 litres/hr (1 gallon/hr).
Easy to Transport
Unlike standard skidders, the Oxtrac is compact and can be hauled in and out of areas quickly and easily. In fact you can fit the Oxtrac in the back of an 8ft heavy duty truck box or trailer-towed by a conventional half-ton pickup truck (vehicle weight: 4,800 lbs). The Oxtrac is also easy to maintain – with the front and rear blades holding up the vehicle, the track can be removed in 15 minutes.
Easy to Customize
The Oxtrac comes with several standard features including front and rear blades, removable caterpillar guards, and an 8,000 lb winch. But what makes the Oxtrac truly unique and versatile is its compatibility with skid steer attachments. Front and rear PTOs and handy hydraulic quick-attach ports allow implements to be changed in a matter of minutes. Skid steer attachments make the Oxtrac infinitely versatile with many applications including:
- Commercial or private logging
- Selection cutting & commercial thinning
- Air blast herbicide/pesticide application.
- Farming
- Property maintenance
- Maintenance in parks, wetlands, and other environmentally sensitive areas
